Description
RECOMMENDED USE
The Millenium Vapour Protector is a peel and stick membrane with sanded surface, it can be integrated in most commercial and industrial roofing systems. Its non-slip top face allows a great adhesion of the insulation that must be bonded with hot bitumen or adhesive.
APPLICATION
When installed with adhesive for self-adhering roofing membrane, this vapour barrier adheres strongly to steel decks, wood decks, gypsum, concrete and oxidized asphalt panels. It can also be used as an underlayment under metal counter flashing.

Installation
Preparation: Surface must be dry and free of dust, dirt, loose nails or screws, debris and other roughness. Apply one coat of primer at a rate of 0.25 L/m2 to 0.5 L/m2 depending on the porosity of the substrate and allow to dry for 15 to 60 minutes depending on weather conditions. Align the first roll starting from the bottom of the slope, then slowly remove the protective film on the back. Be careful when working with the adhesive side of the underlay so as not to let it stick to itself or to other surfaces. Overlap: Overlaps should be in the direction of water flow. Use the 75 mm (3 inches) strip for horizontal overlaps and a minimum of 150 mm (6 inches) for vertical overlaps. Use a utility knife with a straight blade or scissors to cut. Sweep the surface of the membrane with a broom and use a roller on the overlaps to ensure good adhesion.

WARNING: The Millenium Vapour Protector Membrane should not be considered as a temporary waterproofing membrane during the repair or construction of a roof. The contractor must make sure to complete his roofing system up to the roofing membrane after the installation of the vapour barrier.
